Quinta de Marrocos
(Upper Douro Wine-Growing Region / Valdigem)


The Quinta de Marrocos is situated on the left bank of the Douro river, in the very heart of Baixo Corgo, with traditional vineyards planted predominantly with main noble grape varieties of the region.
The grapes are foot trodden in granite basins according to the traditional method and the wine is aged in cellars in vats and wooden casks, creating the excellent complexity of its Port and table Douro wine. The quality of its wines has been recognised at international competitions.
The estate has belonged to the same family for over 4 generations, and was inherited by its current owner, César Augusto Correia de Sequeira, from his aunt, Guiomar Martins Correia. Ever since, the vineyards have been grown and wine has been made. The Property is also involved into agro-tourism, as the old family property has been restored.

Quinta de Vale de Sapos

The Quinta de Vale de Sapos estate is situated to the south of the Douro river, in the zone of Ribadouro or Terra do Vinho de Cheiro, one of the oldest winegrowing areas of the region.
The vineyard combining traditional terraces and modern levelled stretches, planted exclusively with noble Douro grape varieties.
The grapes are foot trodden in granite basins according to the traditional method and the wine aged in cellars in vats and wooden casks.
The estate has belonged to the same family for over 4 generations, and was inherited by its current owner, César Augusto Correia de Sequeira, from his grandmother, Adelina Martins Correia. Ever since, the vineyards have been grown and wine has been made, culminated in bottling under own label and certification as single estate wines that have won awards at international competitions.
